Leaves: Leaves compound (bipinnate). Alternate. Blades with 4–14 pairs of pinnae, leaflets 20–30 pairs per pinna. leaflets with a nectary on the rachis just below each pair of pinnae. leaflets asymmetrical with the midrib strongly excentric near one of the margins, 6–10 mm long, 2–3 mm wide. Blades with nectaries on rachises. Apex acute. Leaflet margins entire. Petioles with nectaries. Stipules up to 1.5 cm long and 3 cm wide.

Flowers: Flowers in heads 20–25 mm in diameter (exc. stamens), these usually in wide terminal panicles, sometimes reduced to 3–4 peduncles clustered in the leaf axils. Flowers usually dimorphic within each head with a central larger flower that is probably functionally staminate, surrounded by smaller perfect flowers, bracteoles absent. Flowers mimosaceous, 8–12 mm long (central one larger). Calyx (4)5-lobed. Corolla white, funnelform or campanulate, (4)5(6)-lobed. Stamens more than 15; filaments connate up to ½ their length, exserted, up to 30 mm long. Ovary superior.

Fruit: Pods flat; 10–17 cm long; 1.7–3.5 cm wide; indehiscent. Seeds several; ellipsoid; laterally flattened; ca. 7 mm long and 4–5 in diameter; distinctly median (remote from sutures); with a small basal pleurogram ca. 1 mm in diameter.

Ploidy: 2n = 26

Habitat: Documented only from disturbed areas.

Elevation Range: Low elevations.
