Description

Key Characters:

Growth Form: Rhizomatous perennial herbs, usually branched at base; scapes (5.5-)10-35 cm long.

Leaves: Leaves in a basal rosette or distributed 3-12 cm along the ascending stem spatulate to oblong, rarely obovate, 1.2-3.5(-5.4) cm long, 0.3-1.3 cm wide sessile and +/- clasping the stem, with 2-9 bracts per scape that become progressively larger and more leaf-like toward base sparsely to moderately hirsute, especially on upper surface, margins, and veins, with few to numerous scattered, subsessile, globose glands, occasionally villous Margins serrate in upper 1/2, hirsute.
