Toward Haupu on a steep riverbank above a swift moving portion of Honiakaunalehua stream. Riparin on steep stream bank below the road. W/Ficus microcarpa, Megathyrsus maximus, Costus sp., Spathodea campanulata, Syzygium cumini, Macaranga tanarius. Preserved_Specimen Tall spindly trees with dark green glaucus leaves. Bark is thin often green when younger with an inner layer of dark red thin bark. New growth is green with sharp apical tips. Trees are tall and spindly with a bulbous base.
