Leaves linear, terete, stiff, 1-2.5 cm long, 0.3-0.5 mm wide, opposite with short bristles at base, grayish green, densely clothed with tiny (0.1 mm long) erect pubescence; leaf tip with a clear, acicular point; tiny brown pellucid glands are embedded in the surface in 2 lines. Heads solitary, terminal on filiform peduncles 3 cm long x 0.3-0.5 mm wide with ca 5 tiny, widely spaced, pellucid glandular glands. Involucre subcylindrical, becoming narrowly funnelform, 5-6 mm long, bracts ca 12 in a single series, linear oblong, 6 mm long x 0.7 mm wide, free to base, margins ciliate, brown pellucid glands embedded in surface, green drying to light brown, base of bract not gibbous; rays bright yellow, 8-10, radiate, 3 mm long x 1 mm wide, apex rounded to sometimes slightly 2-lobed. Disk florets 12-20, 5-merous, bright yellow with bilabiate, exserted arching styles, tubular funnelform, 2 mm long. Achenes dark brown, linear-clavate, 2.5 mm long x 0.3 mm wide, surface minutely antrorse scabrid, crowned by ca 12 narrow scales that grade innto narrow antrorse scabrid bristles.
