Flowers: Flowers in thyrses axillary or terminal. Flowers bisexual (perfect); perianth and androecium perigynous; hypanthium free, well developed, densely hairy on both surfaces. Calyx of 5 distinct sepals. Corolla of 5 petals. Stamens (12–)14–22(–26); filaments connate basally to 1/3 length in groups, densely hairy proximally. Ovary superior, densely hairy; styles densely hairy.

Fruit: Drupes globose or broadly ellipsoid; endocarp longitudinally ribbed. Seeds 1 per fruit.
