Canopy nearly closed and dominated by Hibiscus tiliaceus, Citharexylum caudatum, and Pandanus tectorius. Understory dominated by Ardisia elliptica and ground cover dominated by Oplismenus hirtellus. Also occurring is Zingiber zerumbet, Clidemia hirta and Christella parasitica. Preserved_Specimen A small population of these plants localized but reproducing in an area roughly 5000 sq ft. Plant located below a ditch man's trail leading to the outfall of the Poamoho Stream diversion. 55 deg slope, aspect 130 deg true. found growing epiphytically on a mossy eucalyptus log. Slope drops off just below plant.Tall canopy of mixed eucalypts upslope with Terminalia myriocarpa, Cecropia obtusifolia, Falcataria moluccana and a lone Cupressus sp surrounding the plant. Understory dominated by Ardisia elliptica, Angiopteris evecta. Ground cover dominated by Blechnum appendiculatum and Ardisia elliptica. Also occurring is Clidemia hirta and Setaria palmifolia.
