In cultivation, tree originated from Sumatra, NTBG received as plant from nursery in Hilo, Hawaii from Herbert Shipman in December 1977. Ele 80 ft/ 24 m. Small solitary fan palm 1.3 m ht. with 12 leaves in crown, DBH 6.5 cm. flowers and fruit present. Inflorescence extends beyond leaves. Fruit ripens to red. PRESERVED_SPECIMEN Melany H.
